There is drama in the jungle land.
On January 9, it was announced that Park Bo Young would join the crew for SBS’ The Laws of the Jungle.
A month later, on February 5, Park Bo Young’s company boss Kim Sang Yoo, who was with the team in New Zealand, wrote on his personal Facebook page: The Laws of the Jungle is a fake show.
He wrote: “What is this? This is worse than a drama. Real variety plus documentary? Bullshit. They pretend to eat something you don’t want to eat and catch animals only to release them later? Next time go to New York and catch a squirrel in Central Park. They just pick a country they want to vacation in and spend $1,000 drinking beer all night in a hotel. Now they drink in a pub every night.”
When SBS was asked about this, the company officially stated that the post did not correspond to actual events.
SBS stated that The Laws of the Jungle The team was briefly delayed by a sudden downpour and had to spend the night in a hotel before continuing on to their final destination.
SBS said: “After seeing that Park Bo Young was not eating well during the shooting, he wrote his personal feelings on Facebook while drunk.”
SBS added that Kim Sang Yoo deleted the post and would explain the matter later.
“The Laws of the Jungle is a real variety show and everything that happens during filming is true. And it should stay that way.”
The team left for New Zealand on January 22nd.
