Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on East 84th Street in Brooklyn.

Police are investigating after a man was shot behind a two-story home in Brooklyn on Wednesday.
According to law enforcement sources, officers from the 69th Precinct responded to a 911 call about a man shot at 538 E. 84 St. on August 7 at approximately 9:46 p.m. When officers arrived, they found 30-year-old Chad Lewars behind the house, bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
Emergency medical services responded and transported the victim to Brookdale University Hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death, police sources said.
Lewars lived at 110 Road in Queens.
So far, no arrests have been made and the police have not yet been able to determine a motive.
The investigations are still ongoing.
