Elon Musk And Donald Trump finally call it a day… the former president gives a live interview on Elon’s social media platform X after a rocky start to the much-hyped event… and they focus on illegal immigration and the assassination.

Trump made Elon laugh when he said, “Illegal immigration saved my life.”

The former president spoke about how a chart about illegal immigration caused him to turn his head ever so slightly at his July 13 rally in Butler, PA… he moved his head just enough to avoid being hit by a bullet when Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire.

Elon chuckled at Trump’s comment… and Trump repeatedly said it was a miracle and divine intervention that he moved just in time for the bullet to grazed his ear. Trump says he would have spoken to Elon from a different area if it weren’t for illegal immigration.

Elon and Trump are currently having a conversation on Spaces… which is starting a little late after a series of glitches that Musk blamed on a cyberattack… Elon praises legal immigration, while Trump largely agrees with him and is harshly critical of illegal immigrants.

The live audio interview was scheduled to begin promptly at 8:00 p.m. ET, but people were having trouble getting into the conversation, and at 8:18 p.m. Elon blamed the problems on a “massive” denial-of-service attack.

A few minutes later, Elon claimed that X had tested his system earlier in the day with 8 million concurrent listeners — apparently with no problems — and at 8:27 p.m. ET, he said he would interview Trump in a smaller room and “release the unedited audio recording immediately afterward.”

Elon attributed all this to what he saw as the huge opposition and resistance to Trump.

In the run-up to the interview on Monday evening, Trump said published a flood of tweets on X … the first time since August 2023when he Mug shot from his arrest in Georgia.

Trump was banned from the platform after the Capitol riots on January 6, 2021, when X was still known as Twitter. At the time, the Bird app determined that Trump’s posts incited violence … and his account was closed.

As Elon Twitter bought in 2022 Trump’s account restored …however, Trump did not post anything again until the mugshots were released in 2023…instead, he largely limited his social media presence to his own platform, Truth Social.

But when Elon invited Trump to a live conversation, Trump’s account became super active on Monday … he posted campaign ads and attacks on his opponent, Kamala Harris.
