After Fortnite was removed from the App Store because Epic encouraged users to bypass Apple’s payment options, and a subsequent legal battle, appeals being dismissed, and more, there may now be a light at the end of the tunnel – at least as far as Fortnite players are concerned.
Epic’s Newsroom account posted on X (formerly Twitter) that it had submitted Fortnite, Rocket League Sideswipe, and its own third-party storefront, the Epic Games Store, for final approval from Apple.
“Fortnite, Rocket League Sideswipe, and the Epic Games Store have all been submitted to Apple for final notarization,” the post said.
“Stay tuned for the upcoming launch of the Epic Games Store on iOS in Europe!”

Fortnite currently has a lot of momentum
There’s a touch of déjà vu here, as the notarization for the Epic Games Store was actually accepted back in June, following a “will they, won’t they” dispute between the two companies over the store’s buttons being too similar. But the news that Fortnite and Rocket League Sideswipe, a mobile version of the popular sports game, are closer than ever to returning to Apple’s platforms will be a welcome change for many.
Fortnite remains one of the most popular games in the world and is about to launch another Marvel season after being revealed at Disney’s D23 event last weekend. That could mean its return could be even more popular than ever, but we’ll wait and see if Apple approves the proposal.
