He captioned the clip: “Damn Google, cold blooded.” However, it is not all bad for ‘The Dream’, because Caleb Plant And Andre Ward soon came to his aid.

Apparently, an X user had the same idea as Garcia. The user decided to share the Google search result on the social media platform as well. Shortly after, boxing veteran and former unified light heavyweight world champion Andre Ward spotted the post and quickly reminded everyone of Haney’s resilience during the fight and how The Dream reacted when he was knocked to the ground multiple times.

“Don’t forget to mention that he got up every time and finished the fight. Don’t leave that out,” Ward noted. In fact, Haney was officially knocked down three times during the fight, but he managed to pull himself together and take the fight the distance. Similarly to Ward, former middleweight champion Caleb Plant also wrote about the search result.

“And every time he got up, he immediately went back to work as if nothing had happened…” Plant commented on Andre Ward’s post. It is worth noting that Garcia later tested positive for Ostarine, a performance-enhancing drug, and was subsequently banned from boxing for a year. Plant responded, asking: “Then why do you take it?” This made Garcia angry, who wrote back: “I wasn’t complaining, be careful what you say,” before making derogatory remarks about Plant’s wife.

Following this exchange on social media, when the two came face to face during the argument, Plant hurled a beer bottle at Garcia’s face. This nearly led to an outright brawl as the two men were separated by security, although they continued to hurl insults at each other from a distance. Garcia later made more derogatory comments about Plant’s wife on social media.

Although Devin Haney lost the fight that night, his perseverance to keep fighting seems to have earned him a fair amount of admirers.
