Just outside of Parrano in the Italian region of Umbria lies a luxurious 23-room mansion with tennis courts, a horse stable and every imaginable amenity. It was purchased by Governor Phil Murphy in 2004 for $7.3 million. The former Goldman Sachs man is really rich. Some would even say outrageously rich.

But that’s nothing compared to the billionaires club. The people on the following list make Murphy look like he shops at Walmart like the rest of us.

Amassing a billion dollar fortune is a rare feat. For those who don’t think of it, a billion is a million dollars multiplied by a thousand. Essentially, you are a millionaire multiple times over. If written as a check, that would look like this: $1,000,000,000.00.

If you suddenly had that much money, would you stay in New Jersey? We have long been the state where the most people have moved away because they simply can’t afford the unfair property taxes and ridiculous cost of living. If money were no object, would you stay?
