For years, she’s been bringing viewers her own version of karaoke, aptly named Kellyoke, on her talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show. So it’s no surprise that SiriusXM has agreed to stream her covers of America’s most popular songs. Hallelujah, folks!
Fans have been asking Kelly nonstop for a collection of her Kellyoke hits
Kelly fans have been “waiting a lifetime for a moment like this.” Sorry, I couldn’t help myself. Kelly gave her followers an early Christmas present when she announced on Instagram that she was finally putting together a compilation of her best hits. The Grammy winner wrote, “You saw them on @kellyclarksonshow and now you can hear Kellyoke covers on the Kelly Clarkson Connection!”
In the audio clip, Kelly told listeners, “I’m really excited to share the Kellyokes because the most asked question is, ‘Can’t you just put them all out on a CD?’ A CD. Oh my God. I’m so ’90s. What?” The SiriusXM channel Clarkson Connection will also feature personal stories from Kelly, celebrity interviews and personalized road trip mixtapes.
Listeners can get a backstage pass as the artists give Kelly feedback on their performances and hear the meaning behind each song’s selection. According to the daytime TV host, “Kelly Clarkson Connection was the perfect place to do it. I mean, it’s my station, so why not put them out here for my fans to hear? People have been asking me nonstop about it, so we’re starting with several to start with, but we’ll weave them in here and there, and this will be the place where you can hear the Kellyokes that were mixed and mastered specifically for this station.”
As a Kelly fan, I look forward to hearing Kelly’s rendition of Carrie Underwood’s “Blown Away” and Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” at full volume when I’m on the go.
