HARRY Potter fans have discovered a glaring error in one of the films – 22 years after its release.
The popular wizard franchise, based on the successful books by JK Rowling, continues to enjoy great popularity to this day.
However, despite the huge production budget for the films, fans have noticed a major flaw in the Chamber of Secrets.
The film, the second in the series, follows Harry Potter’s second year at Hogwarts.
During the film, Harry and his enemy Draco Malfoy engage in a dueling club while their classmates watch.
While the two – played by Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton – originally only wanted to disarm each other, their exchange became more personal.
Draco fired the first shot, knocking Harry to the ground before he stood up and cast his own spell in return.
The boy who lived hurled Draco across the room – and that’s where the epic mistake happened.
When the film is paused, a production member can clearly be seen in the shot alongside other actors.
Fortunately, it didn’t seem to dampen the magic of Harry Potter fans, as they jokingly made fun of the mishap.
Someone on a web forum said: “That’s one of Rita Skeeter’s assistants.”
A second wrote: “I wonder if he knows he’s in the movie lol.”
“I hadn’t noticed it before. How could you not have noticed it,” said a third.
