Post Malone has revealed how the birth of his daughter changed his life.

The rapper spoke about his little daughter – whose name he keeps secret – and showed off her initials, DDP, which he has tattooed on his forehead.

In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Malone was asked about the meaning of “Yours,” a song on his new country album F-1 Trillion.

In the song, the rapper turned country star imagines his two-year-old daughter’s wedding anniversary.

“I think about it a lot,” he said on the TV news show, before admitting that he has written “a whole lot of songs” about his only child.

The “I Had Some Help” singer thanked his fiancée Jamie and his daughter for changing his life.

“It changes your life in the best way ever,” he said.

Malone, whose real name is Austin Post, said he had “a rough road” before finding his partner. He said he struggled with loneliness and said on the show that he ended his days with long crying bouts and spent the time in between drinking.

“I don’t feel that way anymore and that’s the most amazing thing,” he said.

In a 2023 episode of the podcast “Call Her Daddy,” Malone said he had reduced his drinking because he feared he would no longer be able to be there for his daughter.

“I guess not being able to be there for my baby is a new fear,” he said. “So I’ve been trying to drink less and take better care of my body.”
