The Dragon Ball Franchise is no newcomer to multiplayer video games, but This latest announcement breaks new ground for the series by addressing an entirely new genreWhen you think of a competitive experience with the likes of Goku, Majin Buu and Vegeta, most people immediately think of an arena brawler like the popular Budokai series or something more like a traditional fighting game, like FighterZA game similar to League of Legends may not be the first idea that comes to mind, which makes this surprising revelation all the more interesting.

According to a trailer posted by publisher Bandai Namco on YouTube, Dragon Ball Project: Multi is a 4v4 team battle MOBA where players must work together to defeat their opponents and collect the elusive Dragon Balls.


Playing in a way that is reminiscent of DOTA2 or Pokémon Unite, Users can choose from a list of iconic characters that fill specific roles and are equipped with unique skills and abilities. Fans in the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan can sign up for the open beta here.

When it comes to playing styles, Project: Multi allows players to choose a hero who will be known as “effective super aggressive damage” Trader, a durable tank that can absorb enemy attacks, and a “technical role“, which focuses on supporting allies and disrupting enemies.
