Thanks to leaks, fans already knew it was coming, but Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has finally arrived Xbox Game Pass. Released in 2017, the collection of hit platform games starring a wacky marsupial is only the second Activision title to be added to Xbox Game Pass since Microsoft acquired the conglomerate in October, but it definitely won’t be the last. One of the most eagerly awaited games is, of course, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6which will be released as a day-one release on the subscription service on October 25th.

In the meantime, many players will surely have some platform fun with the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. Developed by Vicarious Visions and published by Activision, the collection includes remasters of the first three games in the popular series: Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, And Crash Bandicoot: Warped.

The compilation, which received mostly positive reviews upon its release, remains popular, so much so that Crash Bandicoot N. Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscription service is about to see some big changes. On July 10, Game Pass PC and Ultimate received a price increase—almost exactly a year after a previous increase—that will take effect for current subscribers on September 12. That means players who were paying $14.99 per month for their Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription in June 2023 will have to shell out a whopping $19.99 per month in September 2024. Understandably, many people are now wondering if the subscription is still worth the price, but others feel the increase is more than justified considering the value they’re getting as subscribers.

It’s certainly a matter of personal gaming preference. Some players have revealed that they only play a few Xbox Game Pass titles per year, believing they would ultimately save money by just buying individual games. Others take full advantage of the 100+ games offered in the Ultimate package, sampling the catalog like foodies at a buffet. For those who like to have a wide selection of titles at their fingertips but are still wary of the increased prices, Xbox Game Pass Core offers a semi-fixed library of around 25 games for $9.99 per month.
