Kelly Ripa forgets to thank Regis Philbin, Michael Gelman or Agnes Nixon as she accepts the Disney Legend Award

Kelly Ripa was honored with a Disney Legends Award at the company’s D23 conference this weekend.

In her speech, she thanked several people, including Bob Iger, Dana Walden, her husband Mark Consuelos and her best friend Ryan Seacrest.

For some reason she forgot Regis Philbin, her longtime producer Michael Gelman, or Agnes Nixon, the creator of “All My Children.”

We know she didn’t like Regis – she kept saying that so rudely. She didn’t like him because he was a legend, an old guy she just didn’t understand. When Regis was forced to retire, he never heard from Ripa again and was never invited back to the show he created.

“All My Children” creator Nixon brought her out of obscurity to play David Canary’s daughter in the popular soap. Gelman? He’s been behind the scenes producing it for over 20 years. If Ripa has anyone to thank, it’s him. A less tolerant producer would have thrown her out years ago.

But hey – it’s easy to forget these things when you’ve made millions and millions.

We don’t forget.
