As part of the festival’s 15th anniversary, a live music act and a DJ will be selected to join the line-up and play alongside international artists.
In partnership with PBS 106.7FM, the competition provides a platform for local artists to gain international exposure. Winners will perform on stage alongside well-known artists such as Daddy G (Massive Attack), Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, Jaubi, KOKOKO! and Soichi Terada.

For the first time, the festival is holding a DJ competition. To take part, applicants must create a mix on the theme “15 years of Strawberry Fields”.
The winning DJ will open “The Wildlands” stage following the opening ceremony and “Welcome to Country,” joining a lineup that includes DJ EZ, KiNK (live), Sam Alfred, SWIM, Theo Parrish and TSHA.
The winner of last year’s Live Music Act, Your Girl Pho, made her debut at Strawberry Fields and has been attracting a lot of attention since then. The winners of this year’s competition have the same chance to make a name for themselves in the music industry.
A panel of judges from Strawberry Fields and PBS 106.7FM will judge entries on originality, creativity and alignment with the festival ethos. Applications are open now and close on September 8, 2024.
