The Olympic Closing Ceremony on Sunday marks the official conclusion of the Olympic Games in Paris before Los Angeles takes over the torch in 2028.
Thomas Jolly, the artistic director of the opening ceremony, which featured performances by Céline Dion and others, is also overseeing the ceremony.
According to Olympics.com, he said the theme of the closing ceremony would be “Records.”

The flag presentation was attended by none other than Tom Cruise. The actor received the flag from gymnast Simone Biles before riding out of the stadium on the back of a motorcycle. In a pre-recorded segment, he was seen jumping out of a plane to the Hollywood sign and handing the flag over to local athletes. A team paraded the flag through LA to the beach.
After the flag handover in Los Angeles, other native Californians took the stage.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Billie Eilish kicked things off, delivering two consecutive performances on beach stages in front of hundreds of spectators.
Next, rapper Snoop Dogg, who had spent the past few weeks in Paris participating in NBC’s coverage of the games, took the microphone in a red, white and blue Olympic-themed suit. He also mentioned Dr. Dre.

Organizers recently said in a statement that “over a hundred artists, acrobats, dancers and circus performers” will be taking part.
There will be musical performances and “the participation of world-renowned singers will complete the picture. … Part of the show will take place in the air, while the huge sets, costumes and spectacular lighting effects will take the audience on a journey through time, past and future.”
Jolly added: “It is a very visual, very choreographic, very acrobatic show with an operatic dimension to provide a great visual fresco and to say goodbye to athletes from all over the world.”
