After a successful cinema release on June 27, the Tollywood megahit Kalki 2898 AD is set to premiere on OTT platforms.
The film, directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, will be available on Amazon Prime Video and Netflix from August 23, according to a report by 123 Tamil.
This mythological sci-fi film has captivated audiences across the globe and grossed over Rs 1,100 crore at the box office.

Given the growing excitement surrounding the OTT release, speculations suggest that Kalki 2898 AD There might be an abridged version for its OTT debut.
Reports suggest that around six minutes of footage might be cut from the theatrical version, but this, as well as the OTT debut date, are yet to be confirmed by the filmmakers.
Meanwhile, the sequel has also been announced, which is the second part of the Kalki Cinematic Universe.

The story revolves around the prophesied 10th avatar of God Vishnu, Kalki, who will bring about the end of Kali Yuga.
The film features an ensemble cast including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan.
