As promised, Tom Cruise performed a truly epic stunt at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
What would the Paris Olympics be without a stunt performed by one of America’s most enduring stars to close the show? In fact, the man without fear, Tom Cruise, performed an epic stunt where he jumped off the roof of the Stade de France before hopping on a motorcycle with the Olympic flag in hand to bring the flag to Los Angeles for the 2028 games. The footage then switched to a pre-recorded segment showing Cruise skydiving to bring the flag to LA. That was pretty impressive. Check it out below:
Details about Cruise’s participation in the ceremony were a closely guarded secret. In the weeks leading up to the event, Cruise had been a mainstay of the Games, taking part in many events as well as the opening ceremony.
According to sources, Cruise had asked the International Olympic Committee to perform a series of stunts before the handover. The star also posted a photo of himself on Twitter shortly before performing the stunt:
The 2024 Olympic Games took the public’s attention and social media by storm as audiences marveled at the incredible feats of athleticism and sportsmanship. The Summer Olympics are a great distraction from other, more polarizing headlines, and provide a sense of pride and camaraderie for all as talented and deserving individuals compete for the gold.
In one of the most amazing athletic displays of the summer, gymnast Simone Biles became the third woman in history to win multiple gold medals in the all-around! Biles was present at the closing ceremony with LA Mayor Karen Blass for the official flag presentation.
