Strictly’s Zara McDermott responds to ‘I’m a Celeb’ rumours

Zara McDermott has addressed rumours that she will appear in the next series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! following her appearance on Strictly.

The reality TV star has not put an end to speculation about a possible appearance in the jungle camp after her boyfriend, Sam Thompson from “Made in Chelsea”, won the last season.

“Who knows, you never know what will happen,” Zara told Gaby Roslin on BBC Radio 2, admitting that it would be difficult to follow Sam.

“I don’t know if I could follow his coronation. How could I ever follow that?”

She also addressed the negative reaction she received after not flying to Australia to greet Sam at the end of I’m a Celeb as the show clashed with Strictly.

“The end of Strictly and the jungle overlapped so I couldn’t go, but his best friend Pete was there. It was wonderful for them to experience that moment,” she said.

The couple is happy and content, and Sam has revealed that a wedding is definitely in the cards for them.

“Zara just wanted to get away, so it wasn’t one of those really special places where you get down on one knee,” he told OK! magazine after the couple holidayed in Dubai last month.

“To be honest, I probably wouldn’t do it in Dubai anyway. But it was a fantastic trip,” he added.

“I don’t know if Zara can say the same because I had trouble sleeping for the first three nights and Zara was really annoyed with me. One day I will get down on one knee and propose to her. Yes, marriage is on the cards at some point.”

“I’m a Celebrity…” airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
