Megyn Kelly admits Tim Walz was great at Kamala Harris rally

Megyn Kelly admitted Wednesday that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz was “incredible” at his first campaign rally as Vice President Kamala Harris’s vice presidential candidate – and that it “left a feeling of fear rising in my throat.”

The conservative SiriusXM podcast host called the Democratic vice presidential candidate a “spectacular speaker” – and a “charming” one at that – and expressed concerns about Walz’s stance on gender-affirming counseling for transgender youth and the real possibility that “he could actually become vice president and possibly president.”

At the rally in Philadelphia on Tuesday evening, Kelly said, he had the enthusiastic crowd “in the palm of his hand.”

“This guy scares me,” she said on Wednesday on the “Megyn Kelly Show” in conversation with Mark Halperin. “He scares me because he could actually be vice president and potentially president. And I’ll be honest with you and the audience: I saw him last night and I thought he was great. He’s a spectacular speaker. He was charming. He had the rally in the palm of his hand.”

Kelly compared Walz’s performance to those of Harris and Biden and concluded that “he is much more effective than her or Joe Biden.”

“I really feel like for the first time that I can remember, I felt a sense of fear in my throat. Because I know what he allows in Minnesota when it comes to children,” Kelly said. “Nothing compares to what we do to minor children. It makes me emotional. That’s not going to happen to my children. My children are good. This is not a personal thing for me, it’s about everyone else’s children. I care about children. And he’s going full throttle and going full throttle on everything.”

Kelly is concerned that Walz could turn Minnesota into a “trans sanctuary” for those in need seeking gender reassignment treatment.

“He is the most radical person they could find on the trans issue,” she exclaimed at the beginning of the segment.

“So when I saw him shine last night – I’m not going to vote for him, I was honest about that – I recoiled,” she continued. “I understand why she voted for him. He’s great and his rhetoric is better than hers.”
