Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck were once Hollywood’s most popular couple with a seemingly perfect family life. After their powerful collaboration in Daredevil (2003), sparks flew between the two and culminated in their marriage in 2005. Over the course of a decade, they started a family and had three children. But beneath the surface, their relationship had its own challenges that the public was unaware of.

The Batman The actor has spoken openly about his turbulent childhood and his struggle with addiction. But after marrying Garner, his personal demons began to seep into his marriage. His battle with alcoholism was a constant undercurrent that led him to rehab in 2001 and 2017.

Reflecting on his struggles, he admitted in a 2020 interview with The New York Times that it took “It took me a long time to admit to myself fundamentally, deeply and without the slightest doubt that I am an alcoholic.”

This was a pivotal moment in his life when he realized the impact his addiction was having on his life and his family. But slowly, the cracks in his marriage with Garner began to show, and in 2015, the duo filed for divorce. The high-profile divorce quickly became the talk of the town, but both actors maintained a dignified demeanor and respect for each other throughout.

But the actor had no regrets and confessed in a moment of vulnerability in the same interview with the New York Times: “The biggest regret of my life is this divorce.”

But he also acknowledged that one must get up, learn from it and try to move on with a clear conscience.

In an Instagram post, the actress reflected on working with director Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds during The Adam Projectand highlighted her unique ability to communicate ideas effortlessly.

She further recalled that, apart from convincing her children’s friends that she was a ninja, she had not “I have been listening to Elektra’s Sais since 2004.” But both Levy and Reynolds nailed it. She added that to get into the role, she trained with her original stunt double, Shauna Duggins.
