Arrest after attack on comedian D’yan Forest
Brittney Bullock was arrested in connection with the vicious beating of a 90-year-old comedian in Manhattan in July. She was taken into custody on Thursday.
MANHATTAN – A woman has been arrested in connection with the treacherous beating of a 90-year-old comedian in Manhattan in July.
She was taken into custody on Thursday.
Investigators believe that the woman in the surveillance video is 30-year-old Brittney Bullock. Bullock is now accused of assault, among other things.
The victim, D’yan Forest, is best known as the oldest active comedian in the world.
According to authorities, Bullock, seen on surveillance video wearing a Jurassic Park costume, struck D’yan with a sly punch to the right eye outside the Equinox gym on 7th Avenue in the West Village on July 10.
89-year-old comedian hit from behind in Manhattan
The New York Police Department is searching for a suspect after D’yan Forest, an 89-year-old woman believed to be the world’s oldest female comedian, was randomly punched in the face in Manhattan on July 10.
According to Forest, Bullock gave her a dirty look before running away.
“All of a sudden I felt a huge thing in my ear,” Forest said. “And I thought it was so strong that I thought maybe a pole had fallen on me. And then as I fell I realized it was a sneaky punch. Someone had hit me.”
“And I thought, how am I supposed to do my show with a black eye?”
Forest, who just turned 90, was treated in hospital that evening and is now recovering at home. She still has pain in her eye but still plans to perform in honor of her ninth decade of life.
Forest holds the Guinness World Record as the oldest stand-up comedian in the world.
