GREENVILLE, NC — This is what it all comes down to. Two teams full of talented young players are looking to prove they are the best softball team in the world as the championship game of the 2024 Little League Softball World Series takes place Sunday.
Due to some scheduling changes as a result of the tropical storm sweeping through the region, the semifinals will be played first.

ORANGE BRACKET FINALE
Louisiana (3-0) vs. North Carolina (Salisbury) (3-1)

The Sterlington, Louisiana-based team is looking to become the first Southwest team to play for the championship. They have yet to allow a run and have outscored their opponents 25-0. Salisbury, the last North Carolina team to win the LLSWS five years ago, lost its first game of the tournament. However, they have bounced back with three straight wins, including a 3-1 victory over Austintown (OH) in Saturday’s semifinals.

The Pitt County Girls Softball Little League of Winterville missed the overall title by one game last year. This year’s team is eager to top that this season. After winning the state championship, the “home team” has outscored the competition 42-0.
The Pennsylvania team is looking to end its impressive run. After a loss to Arizona, Greensburg has reeled off three straight wins, including a decisive 10-0 victory over Cranston (RI) in Saturday’s quarterfinal match.
