Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has released a surprising update on Chelsea’s transfers in his latest series of releases on his ‘Here We Go’ podcast this weekend.
A lot can still happen at Chelsea in the next few weeks of the transfer window until it closes at the end of August and there could be further arrivals but also departures.

Chelsea have already been very busy this summer, signing a lot of players, so it’s safe to assume that their biggest focus for the rest of the transfer window will now be on signing more players on loan and permanently.
One player who could now be a surprise departure from the club is winger Noni Madueke, especially given the impending arrival of Wolves winger Pedro Neto; the shock news came out of the blue on Friday.
Madueke could be the ‘victim’ of this signing, as you suggest, and Romano has the news.

As quoted above, Romano confirmed that in case of a good proposal, Noni Madueke’s situation could be clarified.
He said: “Madueke is not out of the project, but if there is a good proposal there could be openings; Newcastle has been showing interest for weeks.”
It will be very interesting to see how this pans out, as it seems clear that Chelsea are open to offers for the English winger.
I think Chelsea fans would rather sell Raheem Sterling or Mykhailo Mudryk, but let’s wait and see what happens.
