Richard Arnold goes Down Under for his role in “I’m a Celebrity”

Richard Arnold heads to Australia after landing a role in I’m a Celebrity: Get Me Out of Here!

Good Morning Britain’s entertainment editor is heading Down Under this week to cover the new season of the ITV show, which will see This Morning star Josie Gibson and former UKIP leader Nigel Farage join the camp, among others.

In an interview with GMB on Tuesday (14.11.23) he said: “I won’t be here for the next three weeks.

“I’m gone, I have the hat that obviously doesn’t fit.

“More like Windy Miller, for those old enough to remember. I’m not going in (the jungle), but I thought I’d stay at a hotel just around the corner!”

Richard will hear the latest gossip from his campmates’ families in Australia.

He added: “I’ll be spending three weeks with friends and family, maybe having a refreshing drink now and then, but making sure I’m sober by 4pm.”

“Breakfast television at four o’clock in the afternoon, pure pleasure.

“It’s a funny job. I’ve done it a few times, but it’s like having a drink with Stanley Johnson or looking after Becky Vardy’s kids, which is what I ended up doing. It’s quite surreal.”

In his role on GMB, Richard is no stranger to chatting to TV stars and can often be seen on the set of a soap opera interviewing the cast before a special episode.

Former EastEnders actress Danielle Harold is one of ten stars heading into the jungle on Sunday (19.11.23), but she hopes her former Albert Square housemates won’t vote her out for all the Bushtucker Trials.

She said, “They’re going to love it when they find out I do this.

“And I’m sure they can’t wait for me to get back and then they’ll make fun of me!

“I’m excited to get into the exams, but at the same time I hope they don’t vote for me to do them all!

“Every year there’s someone that people love to watch and I hope it’s not me.”
