Harry Potter author JK Rowling has caused feverish speculation among her fans over the past 24 hours with a series of cryptic tweets to her 3.74 million followers.

The otherwise active British author has been tweeting less in recent weeks, and now we know why.

Rowling told her fans that she is currently working on a novel and “finishing a screenplay,” but did not reveal the titles of the projects she is working on – although it is safe to assume that the script is the Potter spin-off “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.”

In addition, she is involved in charitable work for the organization Lumos, which she founded and which campaigns against the damage caused to children by orphanages and similar institutions.
