The LSU Tigers have one player on the Biletnikoff Award watch list, and it’s not the one you might be thinking of.
CJ Daniels is a wide receiver who came over from Liberty and had a stellar season for the Flames last year. He played in 14 games, catching 55 balls for 1,067 yards and 10 touchdowns. He transfers to LSU after four years at Liberty and hopes to make a big impact this fall.
I’m not surprised that Daniel’s name is on the Biletnikoff Award nominee list, but I am surprised that Kyren Lacy wasn’t on the list. I feel like Lacy is overlooked by a lot of people.
Lacy, a fifth-year senior who transferred to LSU from UL-Lafayette, was the No. 3 receiver last season behind two talented players selected early in the NFL Draft. He’s been able to watch Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. work, and I think he’ll be as productive this fall as those two were last fall.
