Former “Hollyoaks” star Jazmine Franks is expecting her first child.
The 30-year-old actress, who played Esther Bloom in the Channel 4 soap from 2011 to 2018, has announced that she and her partner, personal trainer Danny Potter, are set to become parents this summer.
On Instagram, she captioned two photos showing off her pretty baby bump in a black jumpsuit and a copy of her baby’s ultrasound picture with the words: “Here’s to the greatest adventure yet.”
“Summer 2023 is going to be wild! I can’t wait to cause chaos with a mini Franks Potter.”
Since leaving Hollyoaks, Jazmine has followed in her boyfriend’s footsteps, trained as a personal trainer and changed her lifestyle.
She recently revealed: “There is a six-month and 8-kilo difference between these pictures, so it was a very slow process, but I wanted to make sure I still had a social life.”
“I still enjoy desserts and I still enjoy a gin.
“The time I had on my side played a huge role. Leaving Hollyoaks gave me the freedom to focus on myself…
“I’m feeling really good at the moment, I’ve learned to say no to the food I don’t really need to eat, to the events I don’t really want to go to and to the things I don’t really feel like doing.”
Jazmine added: “I’ve had a little break and I’m feeling great. Can we also have a little giggle about me sitting with pizza in my hand in the photo on the left?”
In 2020, the actress admitted that she would like to return to acting, but since there were “only” a few auditions, she started working for a homeless charity to pass the time.
In an article in New! magazine, she explained: “Leaving Hollyoaks in 2018 after eight years was a huge turning point for me. I was busy and in constant demand and suddenly everything came to a standstill.”
“Since there were few auditions, I decided to throw myself fully into the work with the homeless shelter where I had been volunteering for several years.
“I’d love to get back into acting – it’s my passion and I miss it. I’ve started taking classes again. I joined WeAudition, where casting directors do open calls, and I told my agent I’d really like to have more auditions.”
