Cardi B reveals that she almost lost her unborn child in a bizarre accident that left her in excruciating pain and in the hospital for several days.

On Wednesday (August 7), less than a week after announcing her pregnancy, the “Wanna Be” singer took to social media to update her fans, sharing on X (Twitter) Spaces that she was back home after a few days in the hospital.

“I had a freak accident,” she explained. While Cardi B kept quiet about the exact details of what led to her hospitalization, she added, “It got so bad that I was literally paralyzed.”

She went on to reveal that her unborn baby was in danger during the horrific ordeal. “And that little thing almost cost me the birth of my little one,” she said. “But it didn’t.”

Although Cardi B is back home and in good spirits, she is struggling with the pain.

“Yesterday I was fine. I came home but I was high,” Cardi added. “Today I woke up sober, honey. I’m dying… If I don’t feel good in four hours, I’m going to the hospital and I don’t give a shit. I’m going to overdo this shit so I can get more morphine. Morphine in! I don’t give a shit.”

Elsewhere in the update, Cardi B said she was hospitalized for two or three days due to a “little freak accident.” “I’m in a lot of pain,” she added. “I don’t even know how the f*** this happened… but I’m hurt.”

Although Cardi is battling her injuries, she remains focused on her upcoming album. “Do you think I could record lying down?” she asked. “Because I have so much planned right now.”

Cardi also wondered if divine intervention was responsible for her hospitalization. The mother of two plans to release an album later this year. She also recently filed for divorce from her husband Offset.

“I think God wanted me to sit down and calm down a bit,” she mused, adding that she had been “doing too much” and “a little too excited.”
