On Saturday, Team USA defeated France won the gold medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris with a score of 98-87.

Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker was one of the team’s most important players throughout the tournament.

He usually plays with the ball in his hands, but he played his role excellently.

Booker finished the last game with 15 points, six rebounds and three assists while shooting 6/9 from the field and 2/4 from three-point range in 28 minutes of play.

After the game, head coach Steve Kerr shared an honest quote about Booker that garnered a lot of attention on social media.

Via Ben Golliver of the Washington Post: “Steve Kerr of the US team at the end of his press conference: “Devin Booker is an incredible basketball player. Nobody asked about him. He was our secret MVP. I just wanted to say that.””

Booker has now won two gold medals.

Booker was coming off a season in which he averaged 27.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game in 68 games while shooting 49.2% from the field and 36.4% from three-point range.

He helped the Suns reach the NBA playoffs for the fourth year in a row.

At just 27 years old, Booker could potentially become one of the stars of the U.S. team at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, California.

The four-time NBA All-Star would have the chance to join a select group of players to win three gold medals.
