-99KG ADCC World Championship Table, Schedule: What you need to know

-99KG ADCC World Championship Table, Schedule: What you need to know

Some of the biggest superstars in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu have all won the ADCC World Championship up to 99 kg, including Xande Ribeiro, who was inducted into the ADCC Hall of Fame in 2024 and won it twice in 2005 and 2007.

And that’s exactly the opponent Kaynan Duarte is chasing. Since then, no one has won this class at consecutive ADCC World Championships, and Duarte is number XXX in the -99 kg class this year.

The 2024 ADCC World Championship begins at 1:00 p.m. EST at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with first round matches beginning at 1:45 p.m.

And the second day could feature one of the most eagerly awaited matches of the tournament: Duarte versus Nicholas Meregali.

Meregali, the world’s fourth-best no-gi wrestler (pound for pound), is the odds-on favorite. The two are at opposite ends of the bracket and could meet in the -99 kg final.

The field also includes Cyborg Abeau, Declan Moody and Rafael Lovato Jr. Here’s a look at the -99 kg class at the ADCC.
