A man was arrested after an 82-year-old family member was found dead in a Gardena store on Saturday.

According to a statement from Gardena Police, police were dispatched to the 1500 block of W. 130th Street around 9:15 a.m. after receiving reports of a person screaming.

When officers arrived, they found a man wearing bloodstained clothing, the statement said.

They then entered the store and found the man, identified as 82-year-old Le Roy Harris of Inglewood, unconscious.

Despite life-saving measures by the police, his death was pronounced at the scene of the accident.

Investigators have not released any information about the circumstances leading up to the incident, nor have they disclosed whether or what type of weapon was used in the incident.

The other man, 43-year-old Donte Harris of Victorville, was arrested on suspicion of murder. He was arrested and is being held on $2 million bail.

The police did not provide any information about the exact nature of the relationship between the two men.
