We’re now at a point in the lifespan of Street Fighter 6 Season 2 where players are confident enough in their results to start sharing full-fledged leaderboards.

Another fresh tier list is hot off the presses, and this time, pro player 801 Strider has released his latest tier lists for Season 2. Not only does this tier list rank the game’s newest DLC character, M. Bison, but it also offers Strider’s thoughts on one of the game’s biggest talking points right now, Zangief.

Strider’s new tier list for Street Fighter 6 is divided into five different categories. Here we see characters ranked starting with Rank S at the top and descending to Rank D.

The pro player/content creator has released a full video on YouTube where he creates these rankings and explains the reasoning behind each decision. We recommend you watch the video below to hear all of Strider’s thoughts on the current state of the game, but before that, we want to highlight a few interesting rankings.

Let’s start with the elephant in the room and place Zangief at Rank S. He notes that at the very highest level, Zangief is a character with an incredible amount of upside.

He describes Gief as “insane” and with an “easy S-rank” at the highest level, whose only really difficult loss at the moment is against Dhalsim.

Ultimately, Strider places Zangief 6th in the rankings among seven notable S-ranks.

As for M. Bison, he notes that the former dictator has exceptional control of the ground game here in SF6 and that he forces his opponents to play around the scissor kick. Ultimately, Strider places Bison at the bottom of the A tier, noting that his lack of reversal and his “worse defense than Marisa” contribute to this.
