ADELANTO, California (VVNG.com) – A three-day basic training for the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will be held September 27-29 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Adelanto Stadium & Event Center.

The program is aimed at people who want to participate in all three days. The registration deadline is September 26, 2024.

CERT training provides volunteers with basic disaster preparedness skills such as fire prevention, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. This comprehensive program aims to train volunteers in disaster preparedness specifically for potential local hazards.

The CERT initiative provides a standardized, nationwide approach to training volunteers that enables professional responders to allocate their resources to more complex tasks during an emergency.
