25th Annual Celebrate Anderson Features Two-Day Concert

25th Annual Celebrate Anderson Features Two-Day Concert

Celebrate Anderson will take place for the 25th time on Labor Day weekend at the William A. Floyd Amphitheater at the Anderson Sports & Entertainment Center near Whitehall Park.

The annual outdoor concert will look a little different than in years past: It will be a two-day concert with competing headliners Ashley McBryde and Randy Houser.

Houser will perform on August 31st, McBryde on September 1st.

Houser is a singer-songwriter who has released six studio albums, including Note to Self (2022) and Anything Goes (2018). Houser recently added acting to his resume, landing a role in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon.

McBryde is a Grammy and Country Music Association Award-winning singer who burst onto the scene in 2006 with biker bar performances and self-released albums. In the years that followed, she toured with artists such as Chris Stapleton and Willie Nelson before recording “Never Wanted to be That Girl” with Carly Pearce in 2021, which earned McBryde her first Grammy.

“We want to … celebrate the people of Anderson County and give them a free concert that anyone can enjoy and it doesn’t cost anything,” said Rusty Burns, county administrator. “It’s just a celebration of all the good things that happen in Anderson, although we will have a lot of visitors from other counties and other states that will come, and we appreciate that because when they come here, they’re spending money at our local merchants and just adding to the fun.”

The event will also feature vendors and food trucks. Across the street, the Cancer Association of Anderson will host its Hot Air Affair – Rising Above Cancer and offer hot air balloon rides the same weekend.

Admission to the event is still free, but this year guests must purchase tickets at andersonevents.com. Tickets are on sale now.
