Week 2 of the 2024 NFL preseason is here, and this matchup between the Seattle Seahawks (1-0) and the Tennessee Titans (1-0) is all about the reserve players.

After two days of intense practice together, new head coaches Mike Macdonald and Brian Callahan decided to bench the starters (well, most of them) for Saturday night. That means we’ll see plenty of Sam Howell, PJ Walker, Christian Haynes, Cody White, George Holani, Kenny McIntosh, DJ James, Mike Morris, Ty Okada, and other players in the lineup. Hopefully we’ll see first-round pick Byron Murphy II, but I don’t think it would be the worst thing if he’s already considered too valuable to risk an injury in the preseason.

As always, we’ll be doing game threads semi-annually instead of quarterly during the preseason. When we get into the regular season, things will go back to business as usual, with game threads quarterly.
