A new era in Seattle Seahawks football is upon us. The league’s oldest head coach, Pete Carroll, is now the youngest, Mike Macdonald. There’s a new coaching staff, a new backup quarterback, new linebackers, a new starting safety and a highly-rated new defensive lineman who was taken in the first round.

The Los Angeles Chargers also have a new coaching staff and significant roster turnover. Jim Harbaugh won a national title at Michigan, and now an old Seahawks rival is back in the NFL trying to turn the Chargers’ fortunes around. New additions include former Seahawks Will Dissly and Poona Ford.

Due to Olympics coverage, Seahawks vs. Chargers will air locally on KONG 6/16 from SoFi Stadium instead of KING-5 at 4:00 p.m. PT. If you don’t live in Seattle, check your local TV listings here for the station in your area.

As always, we’ll be doing game threads semi-annually instead of quarterly during the preseason. When we get into the regular season, things will go back to business as usual, with game threads quarterly.
