16-year-old attacked at Mo’oheau bus station

(BIVN) – Police are investigating the attack of a 16-year-old male juvenile at the Mo’oheau Bus Terminal in downtown Hilo.

According to reports, several unidentified suspects harassed the victim early Tuesday morning, July 30.

One of the suspects is said to have injured the victim with a double-folded blade. The unknown man “can only be seen as someone with long black hair, an unknown tattoo above his right eyebrow, tall, slim build and last seen wearing a white shirt and black pants,” police said.



From the Hawaii Police Department:

The juvenile victim reported being attacked by several unknown males and sustained cuts to his face by one of the suspects with a double-folded blade. The victim fled the area on foot and was later found at the Hilo Walmart where emergency personnel treated his facial injury. He was transported to Hilo Medical Center for treatment of a 4-inch cut to his face and was later released to a family member.
