10 Rochester-based companies land on annual Inc. 5000 list

Two advertising and marketing firms top the list of 10 Rochester-area-based companies that made the 2024 Inc. 5000 list.

The Inc. 5000 is an annual compilation of the fastest-growing private companies in the country.

Nomadz, which specializes in Amazon PPC (pay-per-click) consulting, ranked 1,241st with three-year revenue growth of 416 percent. The Rochester-based company was founded in 2018 by Lucas Kwiatkowski.

Semify ranked 1,790th with 292 percent growth. Founded in 2008, the company is headquartered in the Neighborhood of the Arts and offers SEO and consulting services.

FTS Business Consultants returns to the list, this time at No. 1,893 with growth of 276 percent. A provider of staffing and recruiting services primarily to the financial, construction and technology sectors, FTS ranked No. 1,265 in 2022 and No. 1,859 last year. The company is headquartered in the Seneca Building downtown.

CE Technologies ranked 2,685th with growth of 189 percent. The IT services and support company was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in Henrietta. The company ranked 4,343rd in 2022.

CyFlare, a cybersecurity company based in Henrietta, ranks 2,694th with 188 percent growth. It is the third consecutive year CyFlare has earned a spot on the list (793rd in 2022, 2,280th last year).

AeroSafe Global ranks 3,093rd with growth of 161 percent. The Rochester-based company provides cold chain solutions for the biopharmaceutical industry. Founded in 2014, the company ranked 1,316th in 2021 and 1,238th last year.

Black Button Distilling ranks at No. 4,221. The grain-to-glass distillery saw 104 percent growth. This is the sixth time the Rochester-based beverage company has made the list since 2018. Its highest ranking was No. 639 last year.

O’Keefe Stevens Advisory came in at number 4,580 with growth of 89 percent. The investment firm, which has been operating since 1997, is based in the Legacy Tower.

Northern Air Systems ranks 4,765th with 82 percent growth. Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Gates, the company develops mission-critical HVAC systems for aerospace, aviation, mobile medical and more.

GP Flooring Solutions returns to the list at No. 4,982 with 73 percent growth, after also ranking in 2019 (No. 2,513) and 2021 (4,788). GP Flooring Solutions is the longest-running Rochester-area company on the list, founded in 1989, and sells, installs, repairs and services flooring for commercial customers.

Also on the list is Steadfast City Economic & Community Partners, a development and planning firm, at No. 2,929. The firm operates out of the High Falls Business Center but is headquartered in St. Louis.

To be eligible for the Inc. 5000 list, companies must be privately held, for-profit and independent. They must have been founded and generating income as of March 31, 2020. They must have had at least $100,000 in revenue in 2020 and at least $2 million in revenue in 2023.
